Summer in the south of France

After my rather lovely experience at Sandalandala, Vama Veche I boarded a much too early flight to Lyon, France where my boyfriend joined me from London. We had a few hours to spend in Lyon so to fully embrace the holiday state of mind we went and had croissants and cappuccinos on a small, busy terrace.

In the evening we took a train to Perpignan, not before spending half of my holiday budget on french skincare and still thinking I didn’t get enough. The train ride was smooth, uneventful and dare I say, quite comfy. A few hours later we were in our cozy, little apartment enjoying takeaway dinner and a glass of red wine while practising our French for the next day; un café au lait, s‘il vous plaît.

Because it was our first time in Perpignan we did what we always do when visiting a new city which is wander its streets for hours on end. We stopped for coffee from time to time, ate in small local restaurants, got drunk tipsy in the middle of the day and tried to speak French even though we would both burst out laughing when hearing our accents. Oh, and then I went and bought some more french skincare. #asyoudo

Love,
