Is it Spring yet?

As January draws to a close and the days get longer and sunnier, there’s no better time to start planning a spring refresh. It can be anything from finally sorting your skincare cabinet to a complete home makeover or maybe buying that pair of shoes you can’t stop thinking about.

If winter has been particularly tough on you then you’ll need a pick me up. I can always count on maxi dresses to brighten up my day. There’s something about flowy fabrics, romantic shapes and that genuine sense of mystery that seem to do the trick for me. And if one of your New Year’s resolutions was to shop smarter, keep an eye on Warehouse as they have some amazing dresses on sale.

Discovering a new perfume that can instantly transport you into one of your favorite daydreams can be utterly uplifting. Choose something fresh with a hint of floral notes and you’ll feel like you’ve just got a hug from Mother Nature.

Speaking of nature, a trip to a plant nursery is not only a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning but also a great opportunity to learn about plants and add a few green friends to your home. Caring for indoor plants can be hugely terapeutic so if you’re going through a stressful time, creating a green corner in your house might do wonders.

Finally taking the plunge and investing in that one designer piece you’ve been dreaming about for the last months can be really satisfying. I did that last year and bought my first Chanel bag, a beautiful vintage model from the early 80’s and it’s still one of my best purchases ever. I wanted something classic that I would love and wear for years to come but also keep its value as years go by.

The fact that we are living in a digitalized world it’s no news. The mighty internet has become such a huge part of our lives that it’s difficult to imagine our day-to-day routine without it. That being said, I still don’t buy the whole print-is-dead propaganda. Or maybe I’m just hopeful. Nonetheless, I believe there will always be people that will like to read a book or a magazine the (now) old fashioned way. So maybe a subscription to your favorite glossy supplier might cheer you up in no time.
