Lately I’ve been focussing a lot on wardrobe staples (in my blog posts & shopping strategy) because I truly believe that if you have a few impeccable basics you can play around with, the rest is just finesse. One of the pieces I rely on is this white masculine blazer I’ve been styling in countless outfits for the past five years. Mine is vintage but there are a lot of similar cuts on the shelves at the moment, I’ll link some for you at the end of the article.
1. Pastels with a punch of black. Pastels look great no matter the season. They’re fresh, young and feminine. If you wanna avoid looking like a macaroon or head-to-toe sugary shades are too girly for you just add a punch of black or navy. The dark colors will ground the outfit and make it more wearable.
2. Modern safari meets Breton stripes. A white masculine blazer will smarten up any outfit and can be the perfect cover up for those chilly summer afternoons. Keep the color palette neutral and play with accessories if you wanna brighten up the outfit. For winter time, switch to leather shorts, ankle boots and a blanket scarf.
3. Glamourous in denim. If you were saving up your favorite jeans for casual looks only, it’s time to reconsider. Flared ones do magic to a silhouette especially if you’re wearing them with towering strappy heels (toes on sight). Take your time with hair and makeup and keep accessories simple and expensive looking.
